ISOCOM Develop New Radiation Hard LEDs for Accelerator Tunnels at CERN

ISOCOM successfully complete their exciting LED Light Luminaire development project.

We successfully secured a contract to assist in the development of new radiation resistant LED lighting which is suitable for accelerator tunnels and nuclear power stations. These lights were designed to replace traditional fluorescent lamps with magnetic ballast and withstand high levels of radiation.

The AC/DC power design and current control has proven successful and CERN has confirmed that these LEDs meet their radiation requirements. We have produced the first 1,000 units of LED lights which will be used in CERN’s particle accelerator tunnels.
